About student life skills and paul sweetow
Paul’s book, Student Life Skills, came out early this year. Two weeks after its publication, the University of Chicago invited him to be a guest lecturer for their social work graduate students. Soon after, North Shore Country Day School fully implemented the program in the Lower School as their social/emotional curriculum. It has been described as a break through program that has had extremely high levels of success and compliance among teachers, parents and students.
Paul received his Bachelor's
Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at
Champaign and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the
University of Chicago. He studied Japanese in the Foreign
Language Program at Middlebury College and spent a year in
Okinawa to study Karate with their masters.
Paul is a former member of the
U.S. Karate Team and has earned multiple black belts. He teaches
at his school, North Shore Karate Center in Winnetka – a martial
arts/therapeutic blend.
